Article from Local Chinese Newspaper
I’m grateful to know so many influential people in this community. Journalist Kevin W wrote a feature story on Southern Chinese News about my #ChinatownCrawl foodie event - when he attended my last event Dine with #Adriatico4J and Friends. The story gives readers a taste of past Chinatown Crawl events with photos. It’s just amazing when you know someone in journalism.

Chinatown Crawl is one of the popular activities in Houston
Chinatown in the past two years.
This foodie group is an extension of a well-known lifestyle
and entertainment review network - Yelp in Houston. Autumn event debuted a few
days ago. Diners came to 75 Hot Pot and BBQ Restaurant in Chinatown to taste
authentic Asian cuisine.
On the day of the event, Chinatown Crawl arranged to host a
meet and dine with City Council candidate Nelvin Joseph Adriatico. He met with
local residents to introduce why he ran the election at District J and asked community
to support him in the upcoming election. He was hoping more Asian Americans would
come to participate and let the Asian community’s voice be heard by mainstream population.
Chinatown Crawl guests enjoyed the unique taste of fresh pastry
and desserts, that helped the them to select suitable ingredients when they
visit Chinatown later.
Luis Chen, the founder of the event, said that there are
different themes every season. These events provide local foodies to have more
opportunities to try Houston's Chinese cuisine.
This way, diners can taste different Chinese foods. The
other aspect is to encourage Chinatown’s small businesses get involved and to
promote Chinese and Western cultures.
